This annual event is one that SCC supports heavily by our participation in the parade that takes place in downtown San Jose. We usually have about a dozen or so cars-all festively decked out with American flags and red/white/blue bunting and assorted decorations. You may offer a seat in your Corvette to one of the pre-selected dignitaries, bring your own veteran or select one from those present. The parade route will take you down Santa Clara Street to Market St and ends at Plaza de Caesar Chavez.
When the parade is finished SCC members may have lunch downtown as we have in the past or another possibility would be to visit Santana Row where they are featuring “Honor on the Row” celebrating the Armistice Day Centennial (1918-2018) with military vehicle displays, historical artifacts and vendors (see page 3 of the linked documents below).
Please arrive before 9:00am as the streets will be blocked off by then and you will not be able to stage with the other Corvettes. Momentum Chevrolet will be providing coffee and donuts while we await all the various participating groups. Between arrival and parade time you can apply all the patriotic decor you can bring with you. 2018_100th_VetsDayParade_WSCC_3page_reduced
