Join us for the Thursday Night Live Series in Downtown Mountain View! Castro Street between Mercy and Villa Streets will be closed to traffic so the public can walk the street to enjoy restaurant dining, shopping, children’s activities, a farmer’s market, live music and a custom/classic car show.
SCC has again been invited to participate in this event in downtown Mountain View. As we did last year, we will not later than 5:00PM at Hope and California Sts and then drive onto Castro Street where the cars will be displayed to the general public. The cars will remain parked until the event has concluded-about 8:30PM. Members are free to shop and/or have dinner at one of the many restaurants downtown.
When you arrive you will be greeted by a staff member, who will hand you a parking pass. Once you are through the barricade you will be directed to the car show staging area and will be asked to wait by your car until we place you in the car show area.
Once you are parked, you are welcome to leave your car and walk around the event, grab dinner and take in some of the live music. However, there will not be staff around monitoring your vehicle or will there be stanchions available to rope off your vehicle.
We ask that all vehicles must stay in the car show location until the end of the event as the streets are closed and there are many pedestrians walking through the streets. All vehicle owners must be back at the car by 8:15pm, Mtn. View Police Dept. will be on hand to assist you in exiting the event at 8:30pm.
Last year most members had dinner at Casa Lupe Mexican Restaurant nearest to where the cars were parked. This has been a fun event in the past and should continue to be an enjoyable evening.
In order to present a favorable image of SCC and to fill out the designated space reserved for us, we will need a minimum of 15 cars participating so please sign-up.
