At last! We can take our beauties on our long-overdue tour of the Nike Missile Site SF88 in the beautiful Marin Headlands. David Kreutzinger of DVC will host our tour of this historic site. It is a National Park and it is actually the most visited National Park in the country.
We will meet at 10:45 at the Junipero Serra Statue rest stop off of 280 in San Mateo. Driving instructions will be distributed at that time. Driving through San Francisco to the Golden Gate bridge with the Great Highway closed to traffic and ongoing construction on 19th Avenue is more challenging the usual, so Al Thompson has researched an alternate route for us. Keep in mind due to traffic we will not be able to keep together as a caravan. Please drive as individuals, if necessary, and observe traffic rules. No need to speed or blow through yellow lights. We will all end up at the Missile Site for the tour.
We are making arrangements for late lunch/early dinner after the tour should you wish to join us afterward. Details to be announced later.
Participation limited to 40.
$10.00/person. Free parking.
Online registration and payment only. The deadline for registration is August 10th.
